When I think o’ the people I meet, in the street,
I know I’m livin’ in a mix it up bowl, So many people, oh so sweet, And everyone, strutting some color of the rainbow. I’m looking for a good place to eat, take a seat, To get a treat all kinds of great cuisine, Pork bun, masala, curry, poke, burrito burger and beer, fried tofu, coffee and tea. Words comin’ all the way from China, And Mexico ringin’ my ear, Hearing words I don’t know, a verbal rainbow, That’s why I love the Ingleside ya’ know. I’m livin’ here for thirty plus years, have no fears, Seen lots of changes as the time goes on by, Give me your culture, bring it on, an’ let me go to the place I’ never been to before. When I think of the people I meet, in the street, I know I’m livin’ in a mix it up bowl, Everyone prancin’, got the beat, It’s so much joy, rubbin’ the shoulders of my neighbors. I’m looking for a good place to eat, take a seat, To get a treat all kinds of great cuisine, Bobo, McDonalds, sushi, poke, pho sandwich pad thai and wine, falafel, barbeque beef. Words comin’ all the way from Cuba, And Vietnam ringin’ my ear, Hearing words I don’t know, a verbal rainbow, That’s why I love the Ingleside ya’ know. I’m livin’ here for thirty-six years, have no fears, It just gets better as the time goes on by, Give me your culture, bring it on, an’ let me go to the place I’ never been to before. |
